The Brief

For our client in Betty’s Bay we designed and built a structural feature staircase spanning roughly 5 metres from ground floor to landing, engineered around a mild steel stringer that carries the full load without any visible supporting columns.

Every connection and fixing detail was planned to maximise strength, stiffness and safety over this unusually long run — giving oak treads and a glass balustrade a floating look while the real structural work stays hidden beneath the surface.
